We’re proud to share that Fabien Dumont, a standout member of the CEIBS Global EMBA Class of 2022, has been named one of Poets & Quants’ Best & Brightest Executive MBAs for 2025.

On 8th June 2025, CEIBS Global EMBA programme hosted the fourth edition of its annual symposium entitled: Building Bridges: China and Europe, recognising and celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between these two economic superpowers.Around 250 participants attended this event – a diverse audience including CEIBS current students, alumni and faculty, along with guests drawn from the interconnected worlds of business and academia.

On April 14th 2025, CEIBS welcomed Andrew Miles, former President of Sam’s Club China to the Shanghai Campus for the latest edition of the Beyond Classroom series. Hosted by Professor Frank Bournois, CEIBS Vice President and Dean, the event drew an audience of almost 100 CEIBS faculty, students, alumni and guests.

In a shocking series of escalations, last week saw the US government unleash a 145% punitive rate against China. This is, however, only the latest step in a long-brewing war of words and economic tension that began in 2018 during Donald Trump’s first administration, if not before. The current Trump administration's tariff policies are strategically targeted, not only trapping export-focused Chinese enterprises in a dilemma but also intensifying the urgency for China to upgrade its industrial capabilities and self-reliance.

In this article, Lu Jiangning (CEIBS GEMBA 2007), Chairman of Bright Show International Ltd. and a former Ministry of Commerce official posted overseas, provides a detailed analysis of the impact of US tariff increases and the adaptive strategies that Chinese enterprises may adopt.

On 29th March 2025, around 80 Global EMBA students arrived at CEIBS Shanghai campus to meet for the final time as students. Ready to ‘turn the tassel’, they came as students but left as graduates and fully fledged alumni of the wider GEMBA family.

In accordance with CEIBS regulations, the Global EMBA programme department will recognise five top participants from each graduation cohort. The list of candidates is open to public comment until 17:00 on March 15th, 2025.
